Drafting a quote from your own price books

Draft turns a plain brief into a first-cut, room-wise BOQ in minutes. The important part is what the model does and does not touch: it reads your brief into structure, while the actual line items and rates come only from your own price book.

How drafting works

Drafting splits into two clean halves. The model handles the language, and your data handles the pricing. Keeping these separate is what lets an estimator trust a first cut without checking every rate by hand.

1. Write a plain brief

   Paste a normal description, for example "3BHK, mid-range, kitchen plus master plus two kids rooms plus living".

2. The model reads it into structure

   Panzo AI extracts only the shape of the job, the rooms, the grade tier and any notes. It does not choose products or set prices at this stage.

3. Line items are chosen deterministically

   From that structure, Panzo picks line items from your own products, filtered by the grade tier and a fixed work-type map. The same brief and the same price book always produce the same items.

4. You review and adjust

   You get a room-wise BOQ to check and edit. The worst case is that it picked the wrong rooms, which is easy to see and fix, not a hidden wrong rate.

What the model does, and what your data does

Because line items are selected from your own products by rule, Panzo AI never invents a SKU and never invents a rate. Every price on the draft is one your firm already set in its price book.

Getting good drafts

Since pricing is deterministic, the quality of a draft depends on two things you control: the clarity of your brief and the completeness of your price book.

• Name the rooms plainly and state the grade tier, so the structure step has clear input.
• Keep your products current at each grade tier, so the deterministic step has the right items to choose from.
• Treat the draft as a first cut. Review the rooms, adjust scope, and approve it as you would any quote.
