Delete your data

The short version

Panzo is a business product: your account is created for you by your company’s Panzo administrator, and the work records you create belong to your company. You can ask for your account and personal data to be deleted at any time, either through your administrator or by writing to us directly.

How to request deletion

Either route works, and both cover the web app and the Panzo mobile app:

• Ask your workspace administrator. They can deactivate and delete your user account from the Panzo Control Panel. This is usually the fastest route.
• Email us at hello@thepanzo.com from your work email address, with the subject “Delete my data”. Tell us your name and the company whose Panzo workspace you use. We may ask one or two questions to confirm it is really you before we act.

What gets deleted

When we action a deletion request we remove:

• your login (email address and credentials) and your user profile, name, phone number, department and role;
• your device push-notification tokens, so the app stops reaching your phone;
• your chat messages and any photos or files you personally uploaded, where they are not part of a record your company must keep.

We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming the request and tell you when it is done.

What may be kept, and why

Some records cannot simply disappear, because they belong to your company rather than to you personally, or because the law requires us to keep them:

• Business records, projects, tasks, quotations, service tickets and their history stay in your company’s workspace. Where they name you (for example “task completed by”), we replace your name with a neutral label such as “Former user” instead of deleting the record.
• Invoices, tax and accounting records, which we are required to retain under Indian law.
• Backups, which are deleted on their normal rolling schedule (within 90 days) rather than individually edited.

Deleting the whole workspace

If you are the company that subscribes to Panzo and you want the entire workspace and all of its data deleted, email hello@thepanzo.com from the administrator account. We will confirm in writing, offer you an export of your data first, and then delete the workspace within 30 days.
